^^ I think so, either he was going so fast that even slamming on the brakes didn't help him, or he didn't even bother getting on the brakes at all
either way, definitely going wayyy too fast.
Would a crash like this at 60-70 look like that? Something tells me no, but then again when I think about slamming into a trailer at 70 mph that's just freaky stuff right there...
I'm going to stop thinking about that

I ran into the back of a Semi trailer in my 2004 Dodge Ram. I was going about 55 mph. The trucks right front was pretty bad, but I still drove it for a couple of weeks before taking it to the shop. The front right headlight still worked. He had to be going really fast.

North Carolina brother, sister die in S.C. wreck
11:58 AM EDT on Monday, August 21, 2006
Associated Press
SUMTER, S.C. -- A brother and sister from North Carolina have been killed in a wreck in Clarendon County that also injured a Virginia couple.
The wreck happened on Interstate 95 near Manning about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Bryan McDougald said.
Jason Evans, 19, and his 14-year-old sister, Jessica Evans, both of Efland, N.C., died at the scene, said Coroner Hayes F. Samuels Jr.
Richard Rhodes and Mary Rhodes, both of Norfolk, Va., were flown to Palmetto Health Richland hospital in Columbia for treatment. Richard Rhodes was in good condition and Mary Rhodes was in critical condition, Amy Hill, a hospital spokeswoman, said Monday.
Jason Evans was driving south when he swerved to miss a piece of tire tread on the road and lost control of the vehicle, McDougald said.
The car veered into the northbound lane and was struck by the Rhodes' minivan and both vehicles burst into flames, McDougald said.
The crash stopped all traffic on the interstate for an hour-and-a-half.

^^ condolences, sorry to hear that
seriously, someone has to do something about all these tire treads on the highways, they cause a lot of accidents and near accidents
truckers also should be more mindful of their tires. I still remember that I was with my family once on the highway, and a truck not too far ahead of us shredded one of its tires... this was at probably 80 mph... and those sections flew back and some of them hit the windshield, HARD. We were all surprised and relieved nothing broke or no one got into an accident...
I'm not even sure the truck driver noticed

Referring to the tire debris, I had a piece get kicked up at about 70MPH.
It almost seemed like a shoe hitting me... anyways it hit my hood and bounced off my windshield.
It scared the ____ out of me...
Left a mark that I was forunately able to rub off the glass, but where it hit the hood of the scion, there are these little parallel scratches that looks like something Freddie Kreuger did do to the fineness of them...
Anyways, that really ____ed me off because I didn't have the car a month at that point.
