Default Aftermarket Alarm will work with Remote KEY!

I FINALLY! found a dealer that will install an aftermarket alarm that will work with the Scion Key!! ROCKS! good news is that it's $294 Cheaper then the factory scion alarm and has more features! Totally getting that installed. I forget what the name of tha alarm is but i know the people at this place so i am getting a good deal! He actually told me not to use the factory alarm beacuse it doesnt come with shock sensors and stuff!
Once i find the name of the alarm i will let ya'll know.

If your car didnt have shock sensors (when first bought) then you never had a 'factory alarm' just a 'factory keyless entry' system. When you said you finally found a dealer, do you mean a shop? Or an actual 'dealership' ?

Im unsure what alarm your getting installed, but I can guarantee you I wouldnt charge you that much for an installation if you brought me the alarm yourself.

(BTW, I work at a Toyota/Scion dealership so Im pretty confident that I can get the install done most likely faster than what the dealership can)

Well it's a local shop that i have known for about 5 years now. They did all the work on my old car, stereo, alarm etc. I was wanting the dealership factory alarm but he said it didnt have sensors and crap. I have this thing installed from the factory called KARLOCK. So i have that anti-theft device on my car now. But i wanted a real alarm that sounded the horn when i lock/unlock the car and if someone tried to break into it. The dealer where i bought my car was going to charge me $300 just for installation because he said OH WE HAVE NEVER INSTALLED A SCION ALARM BEFORE SO WE HAVE TO CHARGE MORE! i said WHAT! then i laughed and hung up! i am pretty sure when i get repairs done on my tC or oil changes...i will choose another dealer.

All alarms have shock sensors or they wouldn't be called alarms. I know that the dealer I went to installed KARR alarm systems that works with the Scion key, but it costed about $100 more (than Scion's system) for a few minor features and a lifetime warranty. So I just got the Scion one.

All alarms do not have shock sensors, There are a lot out there with shock sensors but not all of them. Some work of door jam switches to determine if it needs to go off or not.
