Is all tC A/C not cold enough?

mine runs about 50-60 idle and 40-50 driving. living in houston its like 102+ everyday here. i have tint and it helps a great deal especially for rear passengers.I think tint will help you feel the most of the air blowing since i can feel cold air coming out but once it hits your face it has heated up due to the sun.

I bought my TC a month ago....A/C worked but wasn't very cold. I got the windows tinted 35% front and 5% rear, then it still bothered me. So I checked the freon and it took another half can while staying withing spec. Just went by the gauge...think it was 45psi? The condenser was replaced prior to me buying the car so i suppose they didn't charge it properly.
And yeah, Houston hit a record high of 104* but add the humidity to that and you're screwed. I'm working on getting a remote start.

i just got my car back from the dealer. A/C is still not cold enough compared to some other vehicles. its freakin hot where im at. i guess cause our dual sunroofs are contributing to the heat as well cause i noticed most of the heat anyways is coming from the top part of the car. i know heat rises and what not but when sitting in other cars its pretty cool compared to ours

but if you didn't notice...the tc has two built in shades for the sun roof, so why not use them instead of spending more money.

Use the windshield screens and sunroof screens. Keep sunroof screens closed when you are in the car too. Run on recirculate and high fan initially. Get a thermometer you can stick in the center dash vent. If your a/c is working correctly you should see the vent temp come down to the 40 degree range after several minutesof driving, not stop and go. Some systems will be a little lower, some a little higher. If you are not getting close to 40 degree vent temp take it to a shop that can check high and low pressures and make sure it is properly charged. The cans with the low side pressure guage is not a good way to try to charge your unit. You can get the high side way out of spec really quick and damage your a/c.
