alright...no idea whats goin on with the insurance stuff, my dad is takin care of that but this is my new vehicle as of yesterday... its a 2004. My parents are bringing it up to me at school saturday. i cant wait!

sounds like the at-fault carried only minimum state required insurance (liability only). good luck getting any "real" money out of the insurance. If you want more money you will have to file a civil suit against the at-fault party. Even then, if the judgement is in your favor, the courts are not responsible for collecting the judgement.

I had to do it when a guy turned left in front of me while I was on my crotch rocket. He turned as I entered the intersection, I braked into a stoppie (back wheel up in the air), clipped his rear fender just behind the rear wheel and pole vaulted thru the intersection and landed on my tailbone. Squished a disc in the lower back, but saved everything else (thank you helmet and leather...)

It's a sh***y process, took 2.5yrs to settle, but it can be done. It will just take forever. Good Luck to you.
