Default Antenna question???

Where do I get one of those JDM antennas? Someone decided they liked my OEM one and took it. I saw some on ebay for like 15 bucks. Wondering if anyone has one and how the sound reception is? The stock one is 50 something dollars. Wouldn't be bad if someone else doesnt decide to take that one.

Go to the honda dealership.

Ask for the parts department.

Buy a s2000 antenna. (18-23$)

go outside.

Unscrew the tc's antenna, screw in the s2000 antenna.

turn your radio on.

notice that the reception is no different than the tc antenna.

Loctite on the antenna screw thread.

Also, the s2000 antenna runs about 21.00.

If you park in a bad area... Take your antenna off, shove it in the trunk or something.

The only grumble I had with the s2000 antenna was that it doesn't sit flush to the base.

The base has a slight taper at the end, the stock antenna has a flanged base that sits on this taper and a smooth line is had by all.

S2000 less of a flange, so a notch is had by all.

I tried unscrewing, levering, hitting with a hammer, ther tapered area (seems to be a plastic addition) but it was impervious to me mere human attampts.

I bought a couple of rubber O-rings from the hardware section at Wal-Mart ($.99 for a variety pack), found the one that was the closest fit (erring on the small side), and stuck it between the antenna and the base.
As the antenna tightened, it forced the ring outwards until it sat right in that gap. Took 30 seconds, and looks 100% better.

The Honda I went to didn't have S2000's, but the guy said that an Element antenna is practically the same thing so I took it, and it cost me about $25 after all was said and done. Does anyone really know if there is a difference between the Element and S2000 antenna? I'm thinking not much.

I noticed a TC the other day that had this super-short antenna. The Element antenna I got is a less than 1/2 the size of the OEM TC antenna...this person's antenna was about 1/3 the size of my Element one!! Anyone know what kind of antenna that might be?

Hmm...maybe the person I saw with the super-stubby antenna just did the same thing then.

I bought the s2000 antenna and it fits as good as the stock one. It ran me roughly 25 dollars. I would send a pic but my woman took the camera to Europe today for two weeks. That is sad this is my first offical mod!! lol.
