^ I doubt it. You don't get good rates when you have no credit history. No dealership is stupid enough to do that. I assume someone cosigned for you. It took me 5 years of immaculate credit history and an excellent credit rating to get a favorable rate on the tC.

$1500 down 8.6% for 60 months...paying 395 a month. I'll give it a year and see if I can refinance for a lower rate...around 4 or 5 %

inquiries don't affect your credit. The FTC changed how that whole system works a couple years back....

And, I went and got mine with quite possibly the lowest score you can have as far as credit... I put $750 down and @ 21% my payments were $455.00

How can you have 5 years of credit history when your profile say you are 21 y/o

If you read the whole thread then you would know that I started building my credit at 16. I recommend doing that for anyone who is 15/16/17 right now. It helps big time to start building your credit early. The earlier you start, the more you will save on your first car. A 16-year old can easily get a credit card by using a fake date-of-birth on their first card application. My first card had a monthly fee and a $250 limit, but I didn't expect to get a good deal on the first one. Now I have about 15 cards and several have a high enough limit that I could buy an entire car on credit. After my downpayment, I was able to put the remainder of the tC's balance on a single credit card at 0% and I got the pink slip immediately, since I paid cash as far as the dealer was concerned.

fvck credit, roll with cash. if i were in your shoes, i'd put up a lofty down payment. try to limit financing depreciating assets.
pay yourself 1st.

I was approved under my name only for 16k @ 5.6% APR. It was through the Credit Union since I work for the state. Nice ___ benefit that you seem to be hating on :p . So with the 3k I put down, it covered pretty much everything. Oh & BTW, I'm only 19.

Just doing what I gotta do to succeed. I did no harm to anyone. Even as a punk kid, I paid all my credit card bills on time. As long as you are not screwing over the system then I don't see any harm in it.

As much as may agree with the last part of your sentance doesnt mean its right. I mean someone could go out and try what you did and they get caught and then have the book thrown at them....
