its not dangerous you mihgt run into electrical problem though. Someone on here said that when he tried to top out his car he was near redline. So it's not really worth it.

i thought the speed governer was also the rev limiter. this is based on the red line occuring around the 127 mph mark (with the stock 17s)

whats the point? when do you really need to go over 115+ on the street?

yeah 127 is plenty fast enough. Even on the track.

It's not about WHEN can you use it, it's good to know it's there and for bragging rights when someone asks you "how fast can that go?"

well you are not gonna get much becuase just what turbome said. you are aready near redline at the speed limiter

they are limited at whatever they are limited at.. for a reason, be it tires, suspension, rigitidy...

if your going to reflash ur ecu for bragging rights alone... i dont think ur the kinda kid who would mind lieing about it.. and save the cash and buy a armani shirt or something

i took mine to 144mph but then got scared and didn't go on. i don't know how much more it coulda went. i did this in an old air strip near my town.

speed limiter on the tC = 6K something rpm. If you want the tC to go faster than about 130 even if you have a tC, your going to need different gears.

That's with the stick shift gearing, the auto gearing is actually quite higher, something around 160mph, some guy made a table on here but I don't want to bother finding it...you can be my guest and find it if you want, I also recall the table saying the tc would need around 400hp to get to 160!

seriously.

and you could brag about how fast your car can go, but when your friend asks "how many seconds does it take to reach that speed?"
you better come back to the drawing board and get some mods to get you up to that speed relatively fast...
