I call BS on 10k miles in less than one month.
how is it that you would like me to prove my mileage? want me to take a picture of my bill of sale and then my mileage?
Well, for starters on 4/4/06 you wrote:

Just a small conflict of dates first of all. Second, that is still huge. since april 4th, you have been averaging almost 120 miles, 7 days a week. Not impossible, just very unlikely.

So when did you really get your car...march 29 or may 29?
oops...sorry.. i swear its a typo.. i did get my car 3/29/06 but i do have 10k on it...my apologies
PWNED

October of 04, about 23,000 miles :D

Random question.. anyone purchase the scion extended bumper-bumper warranty?

hmm I've had my tC since Nov 04'.--Just topped 15k

But my uncle has a 97-97 camry and has over 230k on it. Pretty amazing to me. It runs great too.

So how is the car after 115k?

I'm wondering if this car is good for 200-250k still in good running condition, the way many old Hondas were. Also, do you have auto or stick, what repairs have had to be made?

I almost always (until Katrina) have had 4 or 5 cars. I had 5 cars before I had my driver's license. That was a LONG time ago. Don't fret about it, there's no point, it's a genetic defect.

It's a Toyota, so yea you're definitely good for at least 200k miles. If you an auto, you can probably expect a tranny rebuild at or before 100k

that's not the case for everyone, but autos usually seem to start (or completely go) to go kaplut around that time

First post!!!
Bought tC 1/1/05 and I already have 73000. Accident in March 05. Car in repair shop 1 month, new hood, front ground effect, new trunk, rear bumper and rear ground effect. Use my car mostly on highway.
I average out about 330 miles full tank of reg gas. No major problems but I do have a chirping sound coming from the center vents. Changed oil every 5000 miles, changed OEM brake pads at 65000. 1st set of tires, Pirelli PZERO Nero lasted 38000, 2nd set of tires, Continental lasting around 35000. Bought new tires today, waiting on delivery.
Been very satisfied with the tC, especially when the gas prices were so high. Paint still looks new except that it was keyed on 1 side but getting fixed soon.

<Joined site because I had the chirping sound, found solution on this forum> Great site!!!

i got my tc aug. 21st of '06, and as of today, feb. 5th '07, i'm at 10,200 miles. i love to drive this car, can't help it, it's fun to fling around and floor it on the highway late at night with barely any traffic

A tranny rebuild "at or before 100k" seems a little much dontcha think? especially how well the car is built.

Most old RWD volvo auto trannies did *at least* 225k before needing rebuild. Hopefully toyota has progressed at least that far

Got mine in June of 06, got 9000 miles on it as of today. High milage is not a celebration lol, means you have to get a new car faster.

There's LOTS of people who take pride on buying a new or almost new vehicle and saying they have 2xx,xxx miles on it.

Yeah, i'd be one of those. i say drive it till the wheels fall off, ride anywhere and everywhere for any or no reason at all. the more miles the more time you've spent enjoying your car. behind the wheel is my happy place :D

I hope to never hit 100K on my car. The plan is to use it until 50-60K, then put it in the garage as a collector/project car. I will have a Legacy Spec B for daily driving an the tC would be for fun.
