Default Anyone know any quick fixes?

In trying to buy my Scion, I'm trying to sell my current car. Somehow the bumper is really cracked at the bottom. I dont want to spend the money to get it fixed professionally so anyone know any quick fixes? any adhesive or tape i can use to keep it together? i'll put some pics up soon. also, anyone know any ways to turn off the check engine light (other than going to a shop)?

one quick fix that comes to mind is be honest and discount the price of the car accordingly. You wouldnt want anyone doing "quick fixes" to a used car you were going to purchase, youd expect them to be honest.

Yeah, what's wrong with being honest?

Or are you just dumping it on the dealership?

how about posting a pic of what you mean by "cracking at the bottom". There might be a good fix that is quick and cheap=that way you won't feel like a jerk after selling it.

yea, i plan on heavily discounting it and pointing out all the flaws. I just want to clean it up a bit before i sell it. the only reason i would try to get rid of the check engine light without taking it to a shop is if i trade it in. i'm sure the dealer would inspect it thoroughly before selling it. they're already gipping me off on the price they're giving me and making a good deal of money on the resale so i dont feel bad one bit. if i was doing a private sale, i would def take it to a shop and fix the check engine light first. anyways, my camera is being shady and i can't get any good pictures up. i'll try and hopefully have some up soon. its basically a crack at the bottom of the front bumper that makes part of the bumper hang down. the metal bar it was attached to is now broken so i cant reattach the hanging part. anyhoo, any sort of tape or something that would keep it up? would a car bra keep the bottom of the bumper up as well?

You have a check engine light & are worried about a cracked bumper?

both issues need to be addressed, but i figure i can do more about the bumper myself than the check engine light, eh?
