Default Anything I should know before buying?

I'm going to pick up an '09 Super White 5-speed tC some time within the next few weeks. Anything I should know about before buying? Any suggested accessories I should consider, or stay away from? I know that accessories are almost always cheaper/better if bought separately somewhere else... Just looking for a heads up.

Thanks.

i try not to get the extras its not like a Ferrari/benz/bmw. keep it street and add stuff yourself.

the first thing you should do is get a kit or mod your 3rd brake light so all 20" light up...

i got the most basic package they will allow =p saved $150 on the carpet...

Well gas mileage sucks. Um...going over little bumps feel like ur car is hitting big potholes.

Other than that, nothing bad. Just take care of it and it'll be fine.

oh yeah and part of that problem is the tcs stock tires are like low profile unlike a lot of other stock tires that are pretty fat

I actually prefer the feel of low profile tires and stiffer shocks. I rode on 205/40/17s in my Yaris, so I'm used to that. I headed to the dealership to test drive a manual tC yesterday, and I have to say I was pretty happy with the general ride and handling.

Anyone have a link to an example of what this looks like?

I like the rougher ride you get with a tC.

imo, if you want less hassle and don't care about getting a few extra hp....just get the TRD stuff. The exhaust sounds decent, the drop isn't bad, and the intake is nice too. The sway bar helps as well. Sure it'll cost you more...but you have a lot less to worry about

I didn't get anything when I bought my tC thinking I'ld get it later...and well 2.5 years later I've barely done anything that I want like exhaust and springs.

Wow, really? What's the deal with that? Scion doesn't let them exceed MSRP? Can they sell it below MSRP if I try haggling with them?

There's no haggling with a Scion. It's pure price...no bs at all. If they try to make you pay more than what it says online you should report them.

Although if you can, look for a '09/'08 tC w/ less than 10k miles. You'll save yourself at least a few grand for a practically new...or "new used" as they call it.

You should probably know the price.

And how to drive a stick.

Just some suggestions.
