During the previous year, my only claim was a someone hit and run my car while it was parked, which wasn't my fault obviously but they ripped me for it anyway. It was $850 worth of demage, my deductable is $500 so they only cut me a check for $350 yet the raise my premium about the same amount. Only other thing that happened was I got a ticket that year. Ins. Co. are a ripoff, just a money pit.
You should have questioned the uprate. There is no reason for uprating if no new violations appeared on your record upon renewal. There could have been a rate revision that did not play in your favor, but that is highly unlikely as increasing a person's premium that much is nearly impossible from rate revisions (otherwise they would be losing business like crazy).

Next time, request for a a letter of experience (which would show you did not have a chargeable accident with them) and shop around before agreeing to the renewal terms.

At least state farm has the monthly billing... It totally sucks to have to shell out 600-1000 $ every six months.

$100 a month works for me. :-p

billing options are also available...problem is, when you start a policy as paid in full, your renewal term will also be offered as paid in full. Some companies will allow you to change billing methods upon renewal and renewal only. Again, ask and you shall get your answer.

My father...being the smart man he is...put me down as the "Occasional" driver so that the insurance on the car could be extremely low (at least to his standards). He pays roughly 600 for 3 Vehicles....thats including the tC. WE have State Farm with full coverage on the tC.

600 for 3 vehicles Pretty Good? (My Father..had a clean record until he put me on the list I got two parking tickets But I heard they don't count towards your insurance rates)

the tC is cheaper to insure than my 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. Which I thought was funny considering the RS isnt even got a turbo on it
