Fellow Scion People:

As some of you may know I had an accident with my tC RS5.0. It was considered totaled. When my adjuster from Geico evaluated the cash value of the car it seems that he looked at "Regualr" 2009 tC's. His report shows that he looked at similar cars in local ads, dealers, and autotrader. I took a random sample of these VIN's and none of them were from Release Series Cars. When I asked him about that he said that the RS Package only adds $650 to the value of the car. I was thinking to my self thats bull____. I told him how can he value the car if they only made 2000 and none of those were in his list. So he "claims" he's gonna look into it.

In the meantime I was see if you guys can help me by seeing if anyone can find a 2009 Scion tC RS 5.0 (TRD) for sale advertised anywhere. I've been doing this but it is hard to find, so far I only found 1 on ebay.

P.S. I copied n pasted the cars that the adjuster wanted to compare my car to. It is a long list so sorry.

That insurance guy is an idiot. Its more than 650 extra for an RS tC. Especially a TRD edition. You need to get all the prices of all the TRD parts individually that came stock on that car and tell him to do pull his head outta his butt and get you the real value.

I've been afraid of this exact same thing happening to me. I'm sure geico only sees any RS tC as a standard tC (as far as value). sigh
