Default ATX Question

Hi, I have a quick question. I want this car to be as healthy as possible and do as less wear/tear as I can. For the previous cars, I have always shifted at around 3k rpm or under, but a lot of people are shifting at 3k +, so I was wondering, if I shift my atx at around 3.2k-3.k, is it alright? I don't care about wasting more gas, but I just want my car to last. I currently have almost 900 miles on it. Should I wait for another 100 to do this if it's alright or can I do it now?

Side note-the tc wheel's are a B*tch to clean!!! Coming from a Mazda3 16 inch 5 spoke wheels, these are sooo much more work!!

BUT the roof is a lot easier =) Windex and boom done!

by atx do you mean auto? If so, just dirve the way you want..the computer will learn your driving habits and shift accordingly. As long as your not redlining it everywhere and downshifting into corners, it should last a long time.

As far as cleaning the wheels, what makes them hard. I use simple green and a wet rag and each wheel is done in 30 seconds. Ive been detailing cars for extra money for almost 10 years and these wheels are some of the easiest ive ever done.
