Default brake light during acceleration?

Well I was driving home from the high school football game while the temp was a mere 24 degree's and noticed that if I accelerated at a certain rate in first gear the brake light would come on and as soon as I was out of first gear it would immediately go off.

So I saw my friend at the local Sheetz and told him about it and we took a look under the hood thinking maybe the sensor was acting up because of a lack of break fluid or something of that sort.

We popped the hood and looked at the fluid and nothing was wrong. So we screwed the cap back on and I just said forget about it.

After that point the break light doesn't come on during the acceleration anymore.

Does anyone know the cause of this?

*Note this is the E-Brake light on my dash.*

yes, alot of us do and this has been posted many, MANY times, which is why we ask you to search before you post.

it means you need to either replace your brake pads, or your brake fluid, because one of them is low. most likely your pads. so examine how much friction material you have left on your pads, and see what level your brake fluid resevior is at, and act accordingly. and please remember to search from now on.

I'm having that same problem right now also... the e-brake light comes on during modest acceleration, then turns off once the momentum or whatever levels out.
its bugging the ____ outta me.

It could be:
1) Your brake fluid is low
2) Your brake pads are getting thin
3) You're going to have catastrophic brake failure in the near future

Chances are it's either 1 or 2... My money is on #2 because that seems to be the cause of 90% of that brake light coming on.
