blah, blah, blah....less talking, more driving! Both hands on the wheel when you're talking!

No seriously tho, those chicks are annoying and just make big talk about knowing how to drive. They didn't even give a shout out to all us Scion owners...bad decision on picking them to represent, boo!

I watched all the interviews and all the walkarounds, and for the best balance of Power/Weight/Fuel Economy for a race such as this I'm going to give it to the Civic guys.
Their car seems to be the best "balanced" for a point-to-point rally race. Now if only they could make it a bit less conspicuous that would help them out, because what I saw its nothing short of a cop-magnet.

The worst "balanced" vehicle has got to be the Pickup Truck with the two firemen. Crappy gear ratios, poor fuel economy, >120MPH top speed, all this doesn't bode well for the Texas boys. Ah, you never know, maybe they will find a short cut off road or something, then that thing will shine.

Anyway as far as the tC chicks are concerned:
Chicks+tC+cellphones+using mirrors to apply makeup= No Good Driving
Chicks+tC-cellphones-makeup session= Still No Good Driving
Hmmmm...I wonder what could be the constant variable that keeps mucking up this equation?

also how about the "need" to compete, or prove themselves. I'm a chick and that is offensive. The best way is stealth, drive, kick ___, and SHUT DA MOUF!

but otherwise it would probably be like bringing a wet noodle to a gun fight.

Sorry to burst your bubble dude...the tC stands no chance, gas mileage or not. The more powerful cars will have to fill up more frequently, but they'll be so far ahead that it won't matter...and judging from the pilots of this tC...the other cars will be REALLY far ahead.

What a ridiculous notion this show is. These girls obviously are just a couple of dumbasses who are only on TV to give people something to gawk at. A blonde and a brunette? Female versions of Beavis and Butthead.

FYI: "sporty" does not mean "sports car"

I don't understand why they didn't pick someone with a turbo, did those chicks win a wet t-shirt contest or something?

Good gas mileage is useless without a good gas tank. My Lexus CHUGGED gas, but I had a MUCH larger range than my buddy's Civic and my tC. . . I could easily make a San Francisco -> LA trip on ONE tank of gas.

I don't know how much money these guys have, but with TV publicity, cops will be on the lookout. Unlike the Gumball, they don't have a bazillion dollars to get bailed out of jail over and over.

Any semi-truck driver will tell you that they purposefully don't speed, as it takes longer to reach their destination. Add up the number of added fill ups needed, and it overtakes the amount of time gained from speeding. But this only applies to LONG HAULS. Short run trips are a different matter.

Important factors:
1. Aerodynamics (wind resistance increases in a NON-Linear fashion, so @ higher speeds, it makes a greater difference

2. Performance
3. Gas Mileage @ given speed
4. GETTING ARRESTED and/or odds of getting arrested (higher in cars that stand out)
5. Driver talent/planning/strategy
6. Number of stops

A good plan to win would be:
1. Maintain avg speeds of 99MPH (to prevent getting arrested due to excessive speeding over 100MPH)
2. Good radar detector, coupled with laser blinders, and laser veil (COVER THE WHOLE DAMN CAR), so that you can exceed 100 MPH in areas where it is statistically less of a gamble.
3. Pee in bottles in the car, avoid liquids, and eat military food rations that keep you constipated (so you don't poop).
4. Don't sleep
5. An inconspicuous car (like a Mitsu EVO modded to look like a base Lancer)
6. I would modify the car and add extra fuel cells to increase range. . . 6 gas stops at 10 minutes a piece = 60 miles at the speed limit, or 100 miles at 100MPH.

Because these chicks went down on someone important in regards to the show. Either that, or it's someones idea of a way to get laughs at someone else's (the girls) expense.

They put in 4-point harnesses? Did they put in racing seats? Roll cage? At least a harness bar?

Did you guys see this video? The girl mis-shifts and still puts the clip into the casting video. No wonder she's on her 4th tranny rebuild...

"I'm an exceptional driver"

"My skills and my knowledge of racing"

"Winning is part I think fastness"

These are the quotes of retards. This has to be a joke.

I love how this blonde girl swears she's a bad ___ behind the wheel. You NEVER hear Formula 1 drivers saying ish like that. Any one who is that arrogant about their driving skills has to be a bad driver. Even Fernando Alonso still practices. This girl went to some BS go-kart school and thinks she's a race car driver? Pfft.

Beyond that, I didn't know "fastness" was a word.
