imo it's not worth paying for the extended warrenty just for the simple fact that tc's are made from toyota and toyotas last forever

You're far better off putting $10 a week into a money market account....like the one Paypal offers than throwing your money at an extended warranty.

You may thank me later!

since i didnt get the color i wanted on my tc my sales guy got me the 100k mile warranty for only 1700 bucks so i had to take it. 100 deductible if ANYTHING goes wrong, parts and labor included. Its too good to pass up. (mad neutral drops at 95,000 lol) but regardless. I dont know what it costs standard but for me, i didnt mind paying 1700 for it

only$1,700 thats not cheap. belive me i sell toyotas he sold it to you because they dont make much money by selling scions.

Umm, according to my payments, I only paid $180 for my extended warranty. While the guy was trying to sell it to me, he said my payment would only go up $3/mo and I have a 60mo term. So either you got ripped off, or the guy who sold it to me didn't know wtf he was doing.

thanx for all the responses! I like the idea of putting a little money away instead, that way if I never need it I can use it for something else.

also, the warranty they offered was 100,000 miles bumper to bumper for a grand. so it's not a ton of money or anything, but I def don't want to be wasting it if it isn't necessary.

If you plan on keeping it stock not a bad idea, I had my A/C compressor go out @ 41K, costs $1700 to fix....might be an isolated case but better safe than sorry?

I purchased the 100k everything warranty that is transferable. Covers all mechanical, electrical, body parts, and interior. I do not plan on keeping my tC so I wanted to have an extra incentive for any person purchasing the car from me.

yea i mean toyota are made to last forever and i work for a dealer haha. it it all depends. i kno ours here are alot cheaper than toyota side because of the value of the scions and they are 0 deductable. i mean yea if ur going to mod dont buy it for sure but since ur not its not the worse thing in the world to purchase.also buying the extended warrenty later on sucks because the price is always cheaper is what i told at the time of purchase. but like i said most of them that end up buying us tell us its to give them a safe feeling and they buy that 7 year 100000 mile one

i dont think mods would matter for the warranty as long as you take them off and show it to them. just put your car back to stock and take it to the dealership and then BAM. lolol.
