I would not sell my 2006 for less than 14K but it has every option on it from full leather to heated seats, sway bars, smoked front and rear LED lights, fog and driving lights and rear pedestal spoiler. You could get it in this town. Stan

mods add pretty much 0 value to a car when you trade or sell it.

I bought my '05 Scion tC with 81K miles for $4K. One owner, never wrecked, meticulously maintained. Seller was in a bind to get cash to pay for their car notes on the '10 mustang.

if you are paying cash, you have much more room to negotiate. But def have it checked out by a trusted individual who knows their stuff.

I work in a dealership. The reason its getting into the 8k's is becouse they are including dealer fees, taxes , and they may have some other fees in there. call the dealer up and ask him what the dealer fee is that they charge also what is the tax rate in michigan? I may be able to help you get a deal just give me this info from the dealership. Being in michigan have a mechanic like firestone runa pre-buy inspection and have them check for rust around the car. Also have them check the front end for any accidents becouse although the carfax states that there arn't any you have no idea how many times it has come up that the car accually has. Carfax only reports accidents if the accident was reported but if you and me were involved in an accident and we helped each other at a local shop to fix it carfax would never report it. Get an "sutocheck" its the same thing as a carfax but more in depth it will actually tell you the condition of the car when it was purchesed from the dealer if it ran in an auction. Have fun with the car and i hope that it comes out ok. ) welcome to the community

So i said i will have to call you back if i can come up with the extra money. I have a friend that could loan me the extra money but i dont know if i should wait or what.

OP, look locally. I've been seeing cars that fit your description for under $7K on CL. buying from an individual can be a really good thing, just don't show up with cash and ALWAYS have another person with you.

Greedy seller. I just bought my '06 with 58K for 7900. I would keep looking if the seller isn't gonna budge, i'm sure you can find a newer tC with less miles for around 8K.
