just on my way home i was driving down a straight long road... got to the stop light and a golf gti pulled up next to me and thinks just because i drive the tC that i should race... im not stupid like that guy he was doing probably 90-100 before he let off in the 50 we were in and i think i was doing 55... moral to the story if your car looks fast thats good enough for me... and nothing tells you its fast more then the big light up banner with your time and speed at the end of the track

They are not home from high school yet.
Too afraid to admit they street race I bet. They don't feel like having the hammer dropped on them.

Good call, but until a fatality resulting from street racing hits close to home to them, they don't care. They will still be out there revving up at every stop light being the moron(s) they are.

This is a tragedy of the worst kind.

Stupid people in large numbers are just too dammed dangerous for their own good.

Seriously, a drivers license these days should be a very, very difficult thing to get.

I sure hope there is a hell so those two drivers can rot there for eternity.

Unfortunatly this problem will not go away.........short of harder laws........much harder..........also do not blindfold the little punks........pin their eyes wide open so they get to see it coming.........I have a friend who was racing his 280z one night and lost it and hit a car head on.......pinned his passenger under the dash.........he was burned to death...........

Steve to this day stil has the most terrifying burnt stumps of arms left from the burns trying to pull Ron out........he did 6 years for his death........racing on the street is about the dumbest crap to do on the planet.......goto a track.......it is cheap to do,safe, and to be honest.....extremly fun........

Sad to hear about the family having their lives taken.......makes you think huh.

Agreed ^^^

You learn a TON about your car to. I was really surprised at what I was able to do in my car when I first started doing AutoX. I had a blast and it made me a better driver on the road too.

I have to admit when i was younger I had a car the was way to powerfully for me.. so did one fo my good friends.. we would race back home from school ( on the highway) ... we where really stupid and lucky at the same time... I would never think about driver to fast in ciy roads.. but at the same time.. I could have cause so much more damage on the highway at the speeds we went/ at times over a 100... we were really lucky .. we just got older and realized how stupid we were.

I feel really bad for all that are involved in this. Those that lost their life and the ones that took it.

I like to bring attention to stories like these. My hope is somebody will read it and it'll stick, maybe I'll help save a life, maybe I'll help save my own.

Be responsible out there, I don't want to meet you in a head-on crash, and I don't want to read about you in an obituary or tragic story about how you destroyed somebody's family.

Yet another one today...

A mother and her two young children were critically injured in a street racing crash on Sherman Way in Reseda.

A three-month-old infant was flown by air ambulance to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. A five-year-old child was flown to UCLA Medical Center.

So far the LAPD has taken one person into custody.
Sadly, the five-year old perished. LAPD are looking for a late-model red Camaro that fled the scene.
