Car Show---what to expect?
#21
ive been to 4 shows with my tc and no wins yet but i have seen cars that have nothing much done to them and win. All i do is wash and clean my car for atleast 3-4 hours and once i get there start detailing it from top to bottom. Whip everything on your motor down if it looks dirty clean it off. And when the judges start checking out your car ask alot of questions about what you can do to imporve next time and some tips and pointers. plus once you start putting stuff on your car like little no visable stuff make sure you point them out to them because they may not even know that they are there. But other then that have fun oh yeah bring one of those pop up chairs because they are long shows and standing along time sucks lol

Yea, as soon as I see the judges come up to my car, I politely tell them that if they have any questions, go ahead an ask and feel free to open up the doors and hatch and look inside.

You know what...?
2 week-ends ago at the Kick-off for the SCION X Bounty Hunter Event....I didn't wanna park my ride away from the guyz I went there with...
I entered my baby with theirs, she was kinda clean...but you know what? You don't need to have a spanking shiny car (unless you care about winning) to enjoy the atmosphere

clean it. clean it. and when ur done with that , clean it again. ur goin in to this show with the rite frame of mind to begin with. a clean car wont win u much around here, but it is important. if ur going to show put on by a car club, its going to be tuff. it seems that they care more about the mods than whether its clean or not. ive seen cars win with busted effects kits, runs in the metallic paint, enuff oil on the engine to change the oil in my car, wires strung all over the trunk(but hey, they have 15's in there) im not trying to discourage u, just warn u. most of the guys i show with r always laughing at me for the amount of time i spend on mine at shows. some show up, get out of the car, spray armour all on the tires and leave. 6 hrs later, im still cleaning the underside while they r walking away with a trophy. im not mad at them. im mad at the juding system or lack there of. keep ur frame of mind when u start showing and you will do fine.
