I work at a storage facility that also rents uhauls and when there's a problem of ANY kind with the O2 sensor it goes intom "limp mode" which only allows it to go fast enough and far enough to get it somewhere it can be serviced. Any more than that and the whole thing would go to hell.
Way to jack a car. Why the hell would you lease it then mod it anyway?

I cant believe how much ____ people are giving him for experimenting. Its his car, leased or not, he's paying for the time that it is in his possession. Yeah, its an expensive toy to experiment with, but then again so were computers back when I was experimenting on them. That expensive experimenting has led me to some great things. I say keep experimenting, keep learning, just be careful and try to keep it safe. Might want to pick up some books on cars, specifically the engine, and the tC service manual too while you're at it. That should provide a pretty good learning and experimenting experience.

experimenting is one thing.
But when you start unplugging stuff just to run it is kinda odd.
You'd probably want to do it with some basic knowledge of what the effect is going to be.
1. 02 sensors are in the exhaust and measure air/fuel ratio's to adjust short and long term fuel trims.
2. 02 sensors in the exhaust also test for the presence of a catalytic converter
3. The sensor that unplugged was the MAF sensor. It reads the volume of air going into the motor via a heated metal contact that changes temperature based on airflow. If this isn't workine, the car doesn't know how much fuel to put in for the correct air/fuel reatio. Then your car stutters and bogs and stuff.
