Carbon Fiber Hatches...

Carbon Fiber Hatches...
So I have a few questions that I haven't found answers to around here...
1) Which one seems to fit best?
2) What all needs to be transferred over from the old hatch? (I was rear ended so im hoping not alot)
3) Is it true that all cf hatches are NOT designed to accommodated the stock interior panels and they have to be retrofitted to fit on the cf hatch?
4) As I understand, the stock gas shocks will not work with the CF hatch, if this is true, what have you guys done for gas shocks?
Thanks in advance!

None of them from what I've read fit perfect. Mine's Seibon and fits decent, minor gap on one side.
With my hatch, I was able to transfer all the interior pieces and wiring over, including the defroster. Not 100% sure if the defroster is currently working however, haven't used it yet. On the Seibon, there is predrilled holes for the stock clips, but the ones for wiring that have grounding parts on them need to be drilled to fit better. Also, I had to drill holes for the hatch handle piece, it was dimpled where it needed to be drilled, but it wasn't actually drilled out. As far as shocks go, stock wont work because of the weight difference, you will need to go to NAPA and buy some lower psi ones. They are like 30 bucks a piece. part number is 819-5590.

Any pics of fitment? I guess I have about 2 days to decide if I want to go this route or not lol - I got rear ended and the ins company is paying for it. What all from the lower part of the hatch has to be reused? Im assuming the latch - were planning on finding a junk yard one anyways - but anythign else?

You have to swap over the garnish/handle, third brake light, glass, latch hardware, bump pads on the sides, strut mounting brackets and any interior panels as previously mentioned. Seibon is probably your best bet for fitment and quality without getting crazy custom expensive. Even without any struts at all, it's not that hard to lift. Just lift from the bottom of the hatch instead of under the garnish to avoid too much flex even with the struts. They break off OEM all the time lol.

Thanks! I appreciate everyones advice. If I do this, Ill def be goin Seibon as it seems to be the one to get. Does anyone make a CF garnish? I remember some company did, but they went out of business IIRC. My garnish wasnt actually damaged, so another option would be to have it debadged, smoothed out, than painted black, but i dunno... BCP looks good with CF imho and im getting a CF hood also, however i dont like the look of having the BCP garnish in the middle of the hatch :/
