Careless Driving Ticket, need advice

I actually lucked out with my parents. I was scarred to death to tell them about mine too. my brother was like just dont tell them and pay it. I told them anyways and i got yelled at for a few minutes but then got the you were honest and it was your first time so we are going to help you. They paid that ticket but said if i ever got another one i was on my own. I was too happy!

2 point ticket? Never heard of that. I just understand that when you get a ticket and you plead guilty, it will go on your permanent record causing your insurance rate to increase. If its your first moving violation, they give you a probation period. Im assuming this isnt your first violation so iono, in Chicago they allow you to pay the fine and take traffic school. This avoids a mark on your record but you pay the fine plus schooling. Usually when they ask you to call, your suppose to show up in court or something in that realm.
We've got some kind of point system in IL. Or I'm I missing something in the discussion.

Perhaps...I just know if your under 21 and you get two moving violations of any kind, you get suspended. If your over 21, you get three chances of any moving violation. However it does seem realistic to present a higher punishment for more severe violations. Konrad, was the cop an off duty officer or was he on duty?

then how can he issue you a ticket? Even though your wrong, it doesnt make the fact that he was off duty right. Like if a group of cops bust into a drug house, they cannot convict anyone if the evidence was not found with a warrant. Any who, its probably easier to pay the fine and forget about the tickets.

you can look it up, they say most areas allow officers to issue tickets if necessary. He can try that point but more than likely it is not going to work.
