Default De badging the Scion TC

is anyone here thinking de badging the tc and the scion emblem.. I dont have my tc yet but when i get it, im thing of de badging everything exept the emblem on the steering wheel. I just like the clean look of a car that doesnt have any badges or emblem on it. Anybody in here thought of this or planning on doing it? I just want to know if there a hole on those badges or if it is just an adhesive...

I was hoping to do both the tC and the Scion logos on mine, but only the former is possible without shaving (Bondo/paint). Oh well.

As far as I know, they're both just self-adhesive, without locating holes.

theres a pic I've seen several times of a white tC with a CF hood. That car has a grill w/out the scion badge, maybe some company will make a replacement grill.

I'm sure they will. . . It's just a matter of time.

In the mean time, I might paint mine black.

That's what I'd do to mine. tC probably will go completely while it's new, and Scion will be painted black. We did it black on a Matrix front toyota emblem and it completely changes the look of the car.

The scion emblem on the back is in a indented area.

I noticed that, looks like that will make it a little harder to debadge cleanly.

Also, that 3rd brake light should be red all the way across, I think it would look a lot better.

That would be a great aftermarket mod, shouldn't cost too much for a couple extra leds and maybe a new reflector.

It'd be cool if it acted as both a third brake light and a blinker, too. For example, if the person in that picture was turning left, the rightmost 2/3 (center and right side) would be solid, but the left would flash.

yep. wonder if it would be too hard to make it work like that. I bet it can be done with a little wiring modification.

Even a red vinyl overlay would look better, at least it would look uniform until you stepped on the brake.

Better yet, make it flash sequentially from the center to the edge like the old Cougar tails. That was probably before your time...

Darn kids these days. hehehe Now get off my lawn before I get the hose out...

See the three sections on each side. They would flash one after another starting in the middle and moving towards the side you were signalling to. It was like the light was pointing the way...
