forget survey's.. the only thing dealerships (bad ones) understand is NO MONEY coming in. Don't buy anything, services or parts from the bad dealerships, and eventually they'll start hurting. Pass the word around about bad dealerships, it will hurt them in the long run.

that isnt MORE wrong.

The surveys go directly to toyota corp. if a dealer gets too many bad surveys, they can be shut down, or forced to sell.

if a salesmen gets too many bad surveys, he could be fired. etc, etc, etc.

i worked for a toyota/scion dealership. so yea, this is TRUE. surveys matter

Yeah, they know I wasn't happy with them because I yelled at one of the employees in the store for lying to me, and they called me back a week later sucking up to me, they asked me what I was going to put on the survey, and I said lower then average, then they seemed a lil bit nervous and said what would it take for me to get it an excellent.

well that would be the first time i've heard a company actually listening to surveys. that's great that they DO have an influence! awesome..

it's about time we put these bad dealerships in their place.

i agree. toyota is a very smart company, so they take things like surveys very seriously.

what sengTC3 just posted supports that statement

How do you even catch a dealership that is bad? Is it their customer service or what

The survey is reported to corporate and they try to contact you after to resolve the problem, they actually read everything and document it, they even tell you to talk to the relations manager at the dealer you bought it from.

1. your user name is ammusing, but i hope your thongs are clean and non-smelly. haha

2. how do you (the customer) find out if a dealership is bad? personal expierence, or reputation

3. how does toyota corp find out? the surveys. some people don't do the surveys, or just circle answers... which doesn't help to be accurate

Well...do you guys know if the Tustin Toyota has a bad reputation? Hahaha. The guy that I've been keeping in touch with is obviously nice but he's the one out of the ones I've called that is the nicest and says he will give me a "good deal." As soon as I go in and buy the car in about 2 weeks I'm going in with my brother and dad so hopefully they'll help.

look in the regional forums in your area and ask about that dealership. and give you a deal? if its a new scion, you will get the same pricing as everyone else

I honestly don't know what a "good" deal with scion is, everything is peer pricing, if I were you I'd look around a little bit and compare, the nicest person on the phone could be a dick in person (from personal experiences). I regret buying my tC at the dealer I did because they lied to me and denied it, also a week later when I was on craigslist I saw an ad which said buy a 07 Scion and get $500 in accessories..... it made me sad =[

it takes you two hours to change oil?

it took me about 7 minutes from moving the car, to jacking it up, draining, changing filter, and filling her up with more oil.

dealers will do anything to get money out of you. same with every other car place...

Ok I have to say there is a differance from dark power steering fluid and burnt fluid if burnt it should be changed it has gotten too hot and no longer lubes correctly it will still have the hydralic aspect but will not lube correctly. If it is just dark and not burnt don't worry about replacing it. Also every oil change replace the blinker fluid and lube the muffler bearings as well as check to make sure the air in your tires is still clean.

for juggaman, No it doesn't take me two hours to change my oil. It took the damn dealership two hours to change my oil and look at my tire sensors. I could change it in 15 min but i go there to get it done because its free. Why the hell would i want to pay for the stuff to do it myself when i can get it done for free? Think about it, kinda obvious. And if your gonna say its not expensive at all, umm sorry but im not like some who have money all the time. Some months are good at work some are not.
