Default driver side of the sunroof stuck?

I got an appointment on friday at the dealer. When I hit the sun roof button to open the roof to the first position it opens fine. But when I hit it again to have it actually slide back the passenger side wants to move but the driver side doesn't. I looked closely and looks like a silver bracket on the driver side isn't moving. I reset the sunroof by holding the closed button but no cigar. Wondering if this happened to anyone else??

Odd... no, haven't heard of it yet. Should be only one motor right? So maybe a cable or bracket came loose or something?

no , but you should leave alone til you take it to the dealer. All you need is more uncomfortable movement to the roof and BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!! . Glass will fly everywhere, and i wont be pretty.

Sounds like a cable has disconnected . They might use a similar system that is used in the SC 430 roof to run the sunroof in these cars . But I might be wrong , like the others said , LEAVE IT ALONE IN THE CLOSED POSITION till you get to the dealership

Glad you guys told me too not bother it anymore, the guy at the dealer got it open but now its stuck open and wont close. So I'm getting a brand new sunroof tuesday. There is a faulty peice that needs replacing. He mentioned that a a bunch of tc's have the old pieces and and toyota has made new parts to replace them with. If I'm able to get the new parts numbers, more info etc I will post it here.
