Default Dyno Results for bone stock Scion tC

Here is the dyno graph from Phillip's bone stock Scion tC:

http://www.draxas.com/dynos/StockScion-tC.jpg

We will soon be starting development on our full exhaust system and 4-1 race header.

We will post dynos of his car again once we have both parts completed.

These dyno pulls were conducted in 3rd gear.

I also believe Phillip had the dyno operator do a high speed run to see where the tC would cutoff MPH wise when the Rev Limiter hit... I think Phillip was just curious to see what the speed limiter is set at on the tC.....

4th gear has 0.97 ratio. Seems a better choice over 3rd (1.33 ratio), as it is closer to 1:1 ratio.

So long as you use the same gear every time you take that car to the dyno, the results will be valid. But true, comparing dyno numbers from a tC dynoed in 4th gear to a tC dynoed in 3rd gear.... you shouldnt do that. I've always dynoed cars in 3rd gear irrespective of what the actual gear ratio was on the particular vehicle.

WRONG. I dyno'd my car in 3rd and I didn't pull anything near that. I have a hard time believing those numbers are real. You also have to take in account for the type of dyno machine and altitude.

nobody has mentioned break-in yet.

break-in determines how the car will run for the rest of it's life.

lvnurs9,

You have a hard time believing those numbers are real? Call Darren at R&D Dyno and have him tell you the numbers are real. Or, ask Phillip, the webmaster of Socal TC Club, who owns the car we used, if those numbers are real.

What isnt to believe about them?

Tell James I said Hi too .......
