Default Easy to Scuff Interior of Sction tC

I've had my Scion tC since Monday and the door on the driver's side is already scuffed pretty bad. Somehow, I scratched it on my way out of the car. I tried to see if it would wipe off - but it's permanent. That's really depressing. Any ideas on what to put on it to hide the scratch - or maybe there is some kind of protective coat of something I can put on the interior to keep this from happening again?

There's a solution for that...

Stop kicking the door open!

I've done it too, but with the time and patiences it will go away.

I don't understand how anyones foot can hit the door. My foot never comes close to any part of the car except the foot pedals.

Anyways... the fact of the matter is that it does happen to a lot of people.

Armor-all wipes do the trick just fine. Any kind of vinyl cleaner/polisher works great.

It happens to me because sometimes I can't open the door all the way.......like in a parking spot.....and I'd rather have some scrape marks on the inside than having dents on the outside....

I was thinking of using the wipes but was afraid of leaving a "greasy" spot. I didn't know what the material was made out of and was worried that I'd make it look even worse.

I had scuffs on the door panel of my old car & I have them on my new. I think it's easier for shorter people to get them... the logistics are that we're closer to the steering wheel & have less room to get out of the seat. When we swing our legs out, they inevitably hit the door because we're so far forward. Taller people who sit back further have more of a "door opening" to get out of than we do.

That's a good theory - I'll go with it.

Any kind of protectant to prevent scuffs from happening?
I was reading TC reviews on Yahoo Autos and this was like the most common complaint.

and i would have to disagree with the short man theory because i am 6' 3" and it is almost impossible for me to get out with hitting my freakishly long legs on the door.
