Man, whatever happened to common sense?

You didn't see anything wrong with this? You must have really trusted this guy a lot. After you gifted him your car for zero bucks, any payment which were to come from him would be purely in good faith. You sealed the deal for $0 and left the buyer with no contractual obligation to pay you anything.

Craigslist even warns you not to accept cashier's checks:

"FAKE CASHIER CHECKS & MONEY ORDERS ARE COMMON, and BANKS WILL CASH THEM AND THEN HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE when the fake is discovered weeks later."

And from the Craigslist "examples of scams":

"2. distant person offers a genuine-looking (but fake) cashier's check."

im not against you.. no offense.. im not laughing about you.. i really feel sorry about u!!
i dont mind you doing that - i laugh at america's system as well... most of these scams actually originate from the uk. not to offend you or anything, it's a fact.

but yea man, i feel bad for you. if you really want your car, why dont you post a picture like others here have been asking so we can look for it? i think it's funny that you havent done that. so many local people here willing to help and it's like you dont want it. good luck. ive probably seen your car around (lots of turbo tcs around here)... but i dont know for sure since you have yet to post a pic.

Lol, okay, nevermind. I guess this guy is a scammer himself. I didn't honestly think a real person would be dumb enough to fall for a Craigslist scam like that.

But uh, what is this poster trying to accomplish?

If you keep telling the authorities that the car is "stolen" you might be going about things the wrong way. Tell them you were frauded and speak to the proper authorities. Thats the only thing I can think of.

This guy claims to have lost a Mustang GT, a Lexus IS350, an R32, a BMW 335i, and now a Scion tC.

Scam me once, shame on you. Scam me five different times with the exact same words, shame on me.
