FAQ: Release Series 1.0 Red tC
#41
Hasn't anyone considered just going to Maaco or some other reputable establishment and getting your ride repainted?
When I get mine I'm doing that... maybe I could just get one unpainted so I can get the iridescent look right on. XD
Seriously, which paint color is least expensive for insurance?

They'll probably put stability and traction control as well as a stiffer suspension.
An electric Blue color would be cool but it'd be doubtable because of the indigo.
They'll probably put some nice big 18-19" wheels on it and add a nice exaust to it also.
Maybe suade or leather seats.
I'm betting it'll cost round $3K

No chance 18s or 19s AND traction control AND leather or suede seats AND suspension will cost only 3 grand.

Heard today from my salesman the following (and I don't thin khe's making it up, he's not that creative ...)
Next RS is a bright yellow xB similar to the orange RS 1.0.
6 months later, bright red RS 1.0 tC with supercharger, wheels, other goodies.
6 months after that, supercharged xA with wheels, goodies, etc. I forget if he mentioned the color.
He said he got all this info at the latest Scion dealers meeting.

So I have to wait a year for a white, supercharged xA (which I would be very interested in.)
I'm still calling shenanigans on this deal. I don't trust most dealer info, especially info a year out.

I saw a white tc series 1 scion today in Columbia,SC! On the dash there was a plaque that said 1 of 200. The only stuff i saw different about it was that it had a billet grille, lip kit and spoiler. The wheels were the same, but it still looked good . On the inside, it had leather seats and a cool lookin automatic shift **** was silver mesh and leather. There was this Japanese guy looking at it when i got there and i think he brought the car.
Price was $23000

i went to the Scion dealer today for an oil change and i saw a black tC "SPECIAL PACKAGE EDITION"
it had a small stainless steel sticker in the back that says "tc SPECIAL PACKAGE EDITION".
it pretty much had 2200 dollars worth of stuff; ground effects, spoiler, sports **** (auto) , sports pedals, bazooka sub, silver front grill, etc.
the rims are stock i notice...
the price together was about 17k??? around that price.. it looked nice

Here's the scoop on the Special Edition TC. Just bought one last week. Leathe seats with embroidered headrests. Speaker upgrade with 100 wattt amp and subwoofer. Ground effects kit, tinted windows, OBX Sport Pedals, and OBX Leather wrappped shifter. The package was 4K. Scion is making 500 of these.
