Default flat tire, but punctured rim. wtf? *pics*

but i was driving up to a stop light, maybe no more than 20mph, next thing i hear pop, i thought it was a harmless nail or some glass so i go pull over, and there's what looks like a heavy duty road screw had gone through my tire, and put a HOLE IN THE ALUMINUM RIM. how the ____!?!?!? you really have to see this to believe it, i'll get a pic at work tomorrow, but jeebus, I could contest a saftey issue with toyota if things actually puncture the whole wheel. :retroeek:

if u need a stock rim, i can hook you up. dont even bother trying to patch it or something.

but that is unreal. i never seen something like that before. unless you dropped the car right on top of a long studded bolt.

Sorry to see that happen buddy!

But, also sorry to inform you that is a road hazard issue, if you want covered it will be an insurance claim, not a warranty problem.
