1 page ago lordoth? I looked at 277 and 276 and didn't see a pic of your anzo tails

Does anyone have any pics of tint overlays on the anzo's? TYC's don't go well with the flint mica, but when they are smoked they do match better...

I will overlay the tail lights between the all-red anzo or the smoked anzo...

Opinions? Pics?

There's the fake LED tails that just came out on ebay.

Pictures of the tail lights in direct sunlight. Kind of a medium tint but it's what I was going for, especially since cops in California are really touchy about tint and blacked out tail lights.

Technically these ARE illegal in California (like everything else), but as long as there is somewhat of a hint of the red reflector and the turn signal is visible from 200 feet away (day and night) it shouldn't be any problem. This is what my brother-in-law told me and he's a cop.

Pictures of my work:

Flea, that looks gorgeous!!

That is exactly what I had in mind for my setup, and it looks so sick now that I've seen it on yours. Of course, if everyone says anything to me about it, I'll say that my 26yo senior in Mission Viejo gave me the idea and give him all the credit . However, I too am scared of being pulled over - maybe i'll take mine to a lighter tint just to play it safe (I live in Alameda, CA and there are cops on every corner it seems like).

I tried to DIY overlays on my tc, and it was not fun at all. After spending one hour on one tail, it was not layering on evenly, so I just tore it off . If I had a shop do it, how much should I pay for it?

Which of my tail lights did you like? Anzos, TYC's or OEM's? All of those were done by me. If you go to a bodyshop call around and get prices first. I know some bodyshops around here that do the tinting for $150 a set ( as dark or light as you want), while others charge $150 per tail light and that's for a VERY light tint. Also ask your local Toyota/Scion dealerships if they can tint them. I know that Power Toyota/Scion in Irvine has a guy that does them in-house...the quality is good but unfortunately it could set you back $300-$400. Also ask window tint shops if they can recommend someone.

I'll post up more pics later on that I took today, not the best quality (pictures) but I'll redo it on Thursday.

FLEA, if you lived on the east coast I'd be paying you to do my tail lights. You do an amazing job and I want to get mine done but I havent seen anyone make them look that amazing over here. Usually they just get some overlays.

Now that I see the TYC's tinted that way, its def. a toss up between them and the anzos. Which ones light up brighter - the TYC's or the Anzos?

Thanks! If you got an extra set of tails send me the ones you want tinted and I'll do it.

My personal opinion....I think the TYC's light up brighter. Even with a dark tint like below, the turn signal is very obvious at night. Not the best picture, but trust me, as dark as my tails are the blinker is visible at night.
