I forgot to take pics of the Bond show on Saturday. It was a blast but a long show, 5pm-Midnight. So many nice cars there was lots to look at

Last night around 9:45 I was coming home from school and getting something to eat. I was side swiped by another vehicle and the damage is pretty extensive. Going to need a new front bumper, passenger side skirt, passenger front fender, door, and side view mirror. What sucks is that I was literally 40 feet away from my parking spot when this happened. Should I take the car to a body shop and pay the deductible ($1000) or take it to one of their recommended drive through adjusters and get a check cut for the damages. I was planning on repainting my car anyway. Kind of tempted to do it myself.

Pictures below, let me know what you think. The downside to me fixing it is this....no more painting for anyone until my car is complete (no exceptions). The people who I am currently painting stuff for, I will do everything I possibly can to finish and ship out your items. I get to walk everywhere now...yay!

 

WOW!! thats a sore eye to look at flea. Im sorry but you are not entitled to go to their body shop that they tell you to go, you can go to your own body shop of your choice, unless you know about this. I'd say go get it fixed on your choice of body shop. I can recommend one to you but their shop is off of 2 fwy by the 210 E near Pasadena. I brought my SE-R there before and it was much worse condition that yours and they did it in a week as they have promised me. oh your side mirror doesnt seem to have any damage to it, unless it just looks at the picture that it doesnt. good luck on getting your car fixed man.

damn, flea, sorry to hear and see that. Good luck on the fix, I dont know any advice on shops because im on the east coast, but i wish i could help.

Sucks flea, good luck with the outcome. Don't pay for it out of your own pocket for sure, the other guys insurance should be flipping the bill.

My girlfriend was sitting at a stopsign behind an old man, and instead of going forward he reversed into her and then ran. She ended up getting a check for like $600 to repair her bumper, then we got a local guy to fix it for less than half.

 

If you were closer Id hook you up. I could fix that plus I have a fender laying around. GL

 

Glad I used to work for Toyota/Scion, I can get all those parts for $1700. Now to decide what color to paint it.

 

I think you should do your FM, and BSP like you had planned, i think that was it?

She tried to blame me (damn she was cute), but I got pictures of the damage on her car. Basically my argument is how am I at fault when there is a hole in her front bumper, headlight and no damage along the rest of her car (at least from me)?

Just going to fix it on my own, and repaint the whole car. looking through swatches right now. Won't be a member of the FM cult soon.
