Fogged (dark) Tail lights (e.g. tC)
#5
it depends how dark you get it, i havent had any trouble with my tinted tail lights. im pretty sure as long as the brake light is clearly visible you have a pretty good chance of getting away without a ticket
but if you get one, its a fix it ticket, and you get the option of just paying a fine
the fine is anywhere from $150-$200
but you shouldnt have a problem unless you have like a crazy loud exhaust, no front plate or something that says HEY LOOK AT ME!

let me put it to you this way...
when i got my fix it ticket for having no front plate, the cop was nice enough to add illegal front window tint the ticket even though that wasnt the first reason he pulled me over.
so if you have other mods done to your car, you could assume you will get hit for those too if you get pulled over. all im saying is that out of all the illegal stuff ive seen here in cali:
-ricer loud exhausts
-5% tint on front windows
-no front plate
-slammed to the ground
-window stickers
-blue turn signals
tinted tails IN MY OWN EXPERIENCE have attracted the most attention from the fuzz.

when tinting the tail lights, its now all about how much red goes through your tint... its also because there is a reflective plastic inside the housing... the reason they dont like seeing tinted tail lights is because when light shines onto your tinted tail lights, it might have that reflective plastic shining back, whoever is behind you. this is for your own good. if you were to tint them, tint them as light as possible so that the reflective plastic still is doing its job.

^ turn off CAPS lock pls. oh and try to use the period. its right under the letter L.
as for your non correctable ticket, take off your tint, go to the sheriffs office and talk to them. show them your ticket and tell them that its only a tint ticket and you have taken it off. if not, then go to court and show them a before and after picture.
