If I were to get wasted by a truly fast Civic I'd take the time to shake the owner's hand. But this is just ridiculous.
Its almost a serious issue that NEEDS to be dealt with!!

Right on, Wyatt!
I've actually had some seriously fast iron, but those, especially, didn't have advertising all over them making them stand out (like my Seafoam green 1969 Plymouth Barracuda coupe with the 426 hemi in it - no hint at all on the outside, other than better tires).
If one can do, they do, if not, they pose, I guess.
We seem, as a culture and society, to be getting more and more into just surface appearances, not actual truths.
Add into that the pervading desire of the, uh, 'younger set' to "be different, just like everyone else" and we get econo-cars with sound systems that can be heard from three blocks and enough fake go-fast goodies to totally sap whatever performance they might have had stock...
I KNOW I'm old, but I don't understand what 'value' posing has.
Have we raised an entire generation of 'drugstore cowboys' that are all hat and no cattle?
It is sad.

i held out reading this thread just because it had the word civic in it. eventho it was a very long read, it was hilarious!!!
the only request i can make is like everyone else, pics!!!!
c'mon, with all of us spread around the U.S., it shouldn't take us very long to find this UFO. there will be a lot of imitations and copycats of this UFO, but c'mon, we have to find the original!

since everyone is asking for pics, I think what I'll do is search throught he archives of rice.com, and find a car thats fits the description in the story the best. Then all post it up on here so that everyone can clearly picture what a hideous car it is.

I havn't been able to find one that fits the exact description, so maybe someone if they feel like it can photoshop one together. I found one car though that looks horrific, here it is...

You must be way better at spotting brands than me, because to tell the truth I couldn't tell for the life of me what type of car that was. I just found the fugly - est car I could find and post it up. But as I said before, I think the only way were going to be able to get a picture, is if someone photoshops it.
