gas light on = ??

skippy, was that 12 gallons from my post? If so, I said 12 because that's the largest amount I let that gas tank drop to, not the size of the tank. According to the handbook, it says 14.5 gallons. I just try to fill up at or before 1/4 so I don't get stuck somewhere... I have before and pushing a 3000 lbs car is NOT FUN!

Here is another way you could kick your self, or pat your self on the back depending on your car before the tC.
This will go on a base gas price of $2.00 a gallon for simple math.
Car 1:
Average mpg=20 cost per mile $.10
Car 2:
Average mpg=25 cost per mile $.08
Car 3:
Average mpg=30 cost per mile $.06~
Car 4:
Average mpg=35 cost per mile $.05~
Now lets say you have these same cars & would drive 10,000 miles a year & be able to pay the same price every time.
Car 1:
Yearly cost of gas $1,000
Car 2:
Yearly cost of gas $800
Car 3:
Yearly cost of gas $666.66
Car 4:
Yearly cost of gas $571.42
So by going from a car that got 20mpg to a car that got 25 you could save $200 a year. Aint much but its something. For me going from my current car 28.xxmpg to when I get my xA est: 37mpg & based on the simple 10,000 miles a year & $2 a gallon I will save around $173 or so a year, Aint much but that could go to after market parts & other things.
