Goo Gone = Safe?

Goo Gone = Safe?
I have some heavy duty adhesive left on my trunk after removing my
pedestal spoiler. Someone mentioned that I should use Goo Gone to take it off.
My question is,
is GooGone safe to use on our paint?

yeah, i don't think you will be able to find it that easily anymore. i was looking for it awhile ago when taking my rear tC emblem but couldn't find it.
autozone did however have something that's made by the same company. i don't remember what it was called but it was something in the lines of "sticker remover" or something like that. and it took me awhile to get it all off.
well good luck with it!!

i haven't read the label in a while..but i know its mildly acidic (not good for your finish). its safe on plastics and glass and stuff.
for car body/paint+finish i HIGHLY recommend:
3M Gum, Wax, and Adhesive Remover
this stuff works great! and its designed for auto applications (so its safe fur yur car). plus, its 3M, so you know its good. find it at pep boys, auto zone, etc...

so... im guessing it should be fine on windows (e.g. removing parking decal)? I heard there were some things we're not supposed to use on car windows since there is some sorta factory tint or something rather...

They sell goo gone at Home Depot as well. It is near the paint section as would be the goof off--no not the guy that works there--the goof off product. I have not seen the 3M product listed above--but my experience with 3M is that they make great products.......

People are throwing product names left and right!
Let me ask a question guys...
The adhesive left from my pedestal spoiler is pretty darn thick.
TurtleWax Bug & Tar remover does NOT work at all, baby oil
doesn't work either, rubbing alcohol kind of works.
What product would be the best to take off this thick adhesive?
GooGone or that 3M Gum, Wax, and Adhesive Remover?
Something that won't hurt my paint please.
I really need to get this stuff off asap.

just think about it....would you rather put a product you got form WALMART/TARGET or PEPBOYS/AUTO ZONE on your car's paint??
i already stated, the 3M stuff is the safest and most effective thing to use (i've used both, i know). WILL NOT hurt paint at all. Goo gone, may...
your choice.
