Got the cool ( ! ) Light on my dash!
I've got an 07 tC w/ 2022 miles on it. The manual was kind of vague, is this the maint req'd light? or is the tire pressure warning?
I searched the forums and what not so sorry for the waste of space if there was an answer somewhere.
Thanks

There is a little button in your glove compartment to reset your tire pressure. Make sure your tires have the correct amount of pressure. (32 psi in the front, 29 psi in the rear). Push and hold the tire pressure reset button before startup and you should be good to go.

I'm asking because mine is coming on occaisionally at 4600 miles, which I'm guessing is their "reminder" for the 5k mile service, which I'll do myself.

Correct!
Your car came with a manual right? Somewhere in there it says to hold the trip/milage button down and to turn the car off and back on.

A typical tire loses about a pound of air every month or so. Since the light comes on from a 2 pound drop in pressure you can expect it to come on pretty much every other month. Just use it to check tire pressure and then reset the light. Also, since the rears have less air, be sure to adjust tire pressure and reset when you rotate tires.

Yeah, that's airbags. Dunno about it staying on.

Well yeah, that's how it knows if there's a passenger.. by weight. But that shouldn't have the airbag light turning on and staying on.

Also, it's 32 PSi in the front and 29 PSi in the back? That's odd...why would they be different? Do they not use the same tires? I assume the PSi is being measured when the tires are hot.

Maybe the dealerships are filling your tires when you do oil changes?
And the air might have to do with having better tires up front.. but not sure. I need to have mine rotated for tread, but not sure if it works the same kinda way for air in the tires (except obviously different because you can fill them up.. can't fix the tread).
