is that like a Lexus from Texas?

Lexus IS300 (inline-6)
Lexus IS430 (V-
both same chassis
in my opinion the best looking car I've seen in a long while. It really suprised me when toyota brought them here to the US.

I totally dig the CF hood... might want to invest in a clear coat... I've seen some nice hoods look like ____ in no time because the clear coat was fading and turning white... yuck! :?

The hood looks good. I noticed many dealers selling cf hoods, but bbist seems like the most reliable. How easy was it to install? Is it just 2 bolts on each side? How well does it hold with the hood latch.

I plan on getting one next year, but I'm only gonna have it on when I goto shows or meets so it'll be nice to swap it on or off when needed.

unlike others i find the carbon hood actually makes it look

i think it makes the hood look like a messed up squished nose.

Ill never understand this what so ever. A car is one color, it looks like you went to the junkyard and just found a random color replacement hood IMO.

You need to install hood pins as carbon fiber hoods have a nasty tendency to crack at the latch mechanism and then release. Don't worry about people calling it rice, you have a legitimate need with carbon fiber hoods.

I have a CF hood on my black cherry. I bought it from James at creativecompacts.com. It is also double sided:

I think they call it rice because you legitimately need pins for a hood that serves no purpose other than looks.

I remember back when people liked going fast and weren't so metro sexual..

yeah im going to do hood pins tomorrow, ill be sure to post some pics of that as well. btw i could care less if other people think its rice. does every thing you put on your car have to have a purpose. body kits do nothing but look nice, you can try to tell me it cuts down on drag but i doubt it. leather does nothing but feel good, rims do nothing but roll and maby loose some weight. paint does nothing but looks. some things you gotta do for looks, or else your car juts blends in with the rest. there would be import scene if it was all go and with out any show.

yeah, do what you want with your car. Just because you can. I wont be getting any carbon fiber products because the only reason I would get it is for the weight savings, and I have better things to be spending my money on until I have money to throw at CF stuff. Also, I would paint it. Thats just what I want to do with my car.

yeah, i never got how people can call an unmatched body kit "rice" but have an unpainted cf hood on their car. not to hate or anything, its not really my style, but to each his own.

Looks good Jerry! There's always people who don't like carbon fiber, but there's a million who do for every 1 that don't.

Car looks great!

Heh, yeah, as the company who sells them you say that. But then you read this thread and the BSP CF thread and you get different stats.

I've been working in this industry for the last 9 years and I have seen the trends. Different people like different things for their cars. Just because there is a website with a few thousand people who don't like a product, there are millions of other enthusiasts on the market who may feel otherwise.

Your comparing a few guys who have written something on a forum and compared it to all Scion owners who modify their vehicles. The picture is much bigger than you are comparing it to.

Yeah..I'm with you on that. You should get a CF trunk lid so the whole top is black. ***** it....Make it all CF!
