check the link, there's a video showing that the lift does in fact assist in opening. Seriously, there is no way it's comming back down on you without you closing it.

They really are great guys. I've had my Redline Tuning QuickLIFT kit on my xA for about 3 months now and I'm still loving it... A+ product from a couple A++ guys.

Some people may have problems drilling holes into thier car but seriously, you aren't ever going to go back to a prop rod after using this kit.

How long is the life of the hood lift? Its nice, but if I am gonna need a stick to prop up the hood a year down the road cause it wore out, I'll pass on the mod. Is their a garuntee, or anything like that? warrenty?....... comes with a block of cheese?

Excellent! I was hoping that Tein would make a hood damper for the tC like they have for the xB, but they said nope...glad to see that someone else made it! New toy to add!

im going to assume that if it is warranted for 4 years... it wil last atleast that long... i see no reason for these not to last as long as any factory strut.... my 95 grand prix is still using the factory struts...

Hello Everyone,
We're happy to see such a positive response to our kit! To answer some of the questions.
We don't use sheet metal screws for the hood for two reasons:
#1 The sheet metal screws wouldn't hold in the thin metal of the hood.
#2 There is not enough clearance between the bracket and the gas spring for a screw.
Yes, our kit will work with carbon fiber hoods. You can read our FAQ at:
http://www.redlinetuning.com/QL-tips.html
Also, our warrenty is 4 years on the kit, but our gas springs are designed and tested for over 100,000 cycles, so they will last much longer. :D

Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them ASAP.
Regards,
Andreas

Your website's "online manuals" lacks a TC specific manual, but I ordered one anyway.
