hey i have just broken in my car and have been treating it like a baby....now that its broken in, i thought i'd drive hard to feel the tru performance. today for some reason it grinds when i go into 3rd gear. and i realized it only happens at high rpms, even when i put it in gear slow, it still scratches....has anyone else had this problem besides me? i think the synchros may be bad.

 

just be sure to push the clutch in all the way while putting it in gear if it still does it then you have a problem

 

yea i think its definitely a problem, just to make sure. i even put it in 3rd sloww and took my time...still scratched....then i did it again and made sure my foot was all the way down to the floor on da clutch....stilll scratched.

 

it did not do this while you were breaking in the car?
how many miles are on the car?

 

it didn't do it when i was breakin in the car because i never took it past 4-5k rpms....it shifts fineee at lower rpms going to third but when its at the higher range....it scratches....the warrenty should cover this right

 

i've never had it scratch or grind going into 3rd, other than my dad letting go of the clutch pedal and trying to put it in 3rd gear then.

although, like everyone else, i have noticed that 2nd grinds, especially when car is warming up
