yeah him and cory do have great drops with stockies, but i was thinking more of guys with a spring drop, i doubt this guy would jump on coilovers considering he doesn't even want springs.....must say he is the first guy i have heard say that he doesnt plan to lower his tc. i feel they need to be lower from the factory

With a huge drop stocks look good cause it makes the wheels look bigger

They can be pulled off, but IMO they still give the car a stock feel, for obvious reasons.

I am not saying it has to be done. If I was to put that kind of money into it I would work it so I could get new wheels as well. I just cant see spending the money to make my car closer to the ground. I just don't feel it does much for the car and I do A LOT of traveling for my job which takes me into unknown areas where its not unusual to scrape without the drop. If this was not my DD or if I could adjust the height on the fly I would have it lowered. Its also kinda funny that Yellow calls it 4x4 mode seeing as both my previous cars were in fact 4x4s.

I guess im just the nonconformist anti lowering guy... :D

Well depending on where he lives...maybe that determines the choice of not to drop... but other than that.... only reason I wouldnt drop a car is if I had a WRX STi that I was planning on actually using for rally racing. :D

I understand where you're coming from, but you can be dropped for $200, whereas wheels cost...well....a lot more than $200. So, it's really not much of putting" that kind of money into it". Just sounds like you may believe it costs more than it really does.

Well I can see his point though....saying that if it was not his DD then he could see doing it...but if he doesnt know where he has to go for work...and sometimes scrapes at the stock height... then I can see that is a very valid reason for not doing the drop.

I would say that it is a little not knowing the actual cost but mostly what mouse said. I could never get around in this area in the winter dropped and I don't want the hassle of changing twice a year. Who knows maybe in a few years I will get it done.

even a marginal 1.5 inch drop would make a huge difference to hte handling characteristic of this car
