I'm Navy so that "TACP" is Belgian talk to me. LOL
But I'm an a Army ran command, with a Navy Admiral for the Commander.

TACP means Tactical Air Control Party. In a nutshell they are Air Force units/members that are constantly with the Army. They live on Army posts, go to the field with them, train with them, eat the food, ruck with them, live with them are often mistaken for the Air Force's Army. The main job of a TACP is primarily calling in CAS (close air support) for bombs on target.
If you've ever seen the news and seen a military member on the phone while a plane or helicopter is dropping bombs close by, chances are it was done be a TACP.

It was cool while it lasted, but I got friends that are still in and still having to go to Afghanistan and Iraq. Kind of miss it, but I don't miss the deployments.
