OH HELL NO! WHATS WRONG WIT CHU! HA! i dont downshift into first from high speeds! I am not that stupid! Where from my first post did you get that i was downshifting at high speeds?? I am downshifting after second ya know? going slow!!

Just assumed, thats just weird, my wrx elts me downshift into first at like 22mph no problem. It kinda puts a block on it till that speed, as in i'll push it into first at like 30mph, it wont go but itll sit there i push slowly, and then at like 22 it clicks in no problem. Thats odd, id have a dealership check that out.

Rattlign speakers? Its a $16 plastic car, not a mercedes, I think its just the way the car is built, unless you are having major ratling problems or something. probably jsut the plastic around it ratting. And I think being able to shift properly should be on top of the check-out list, and then whatever idling issue you have!

your wrx lets you do it because that is a safe speed being that the gear tops out close to 40mph.... when downshifting at higher rpms and speeds the transmission has safetys so you dont tear it up, when it stops you dont force it, just hold it in postion, it will unlock when ur speed and rpms decrease enough.
