Has anyone used a Apexi SAFC II on a Box
I was thinking of buying an Apexi SAFC II but don't know if it will work without giving an check engine code to the computer. I thought the Apexi unit is fairly cheap, around $350 give or take a few bucks, and with 12 RPM points of fuel adjustment you may be able to squeeze a few more HP out of the Box. Any imput on this would be appreciated.
I am not looking to make a ton of HP just a few more, 10-20 would be great, and possibly a fuel mileage increase. With a less restrictive intake and exhasut this makes sense right?

The Apex Afc is good for compensating for a better intake and exhaust or even cams if they were avialable. On a stock engine you will gain little if anything, certainly not 10-20hp, Heck $1000 in intake/header/exhaust only gained 8.5hp or so.....
Get the AFC, build a 2.5" intake with the MAF mounted in the correct location, have a custom REAL header fabricated (not a shorty convience header) and a full 2.25" mandrel bent exhaust with a high flow cat and low restriction mufflers then tune it well and you will gain better than 20hp. You MAY need to install slightly larger injectors but I doubt it.
Sounds easy doesn't it..... NOBODY has done it yet!!
