Hayseed's CSM: I Can Haz Rotary?
So back in may of 2010, I bought a 2007 CSM manual tC. My parents had bought me a '95 Corolla with 150,xxx miles and on Valentines Day of 2010, the engine seized on the way to dinner with my girlfriend. So I eventually found my tC, with 49,xxx miles for a really good deal so I jumped on it. It came with black painted stockies so that was nice as well.
Before leaving for USMC boot camp, I relocated the "tC" badge to the grill (I genuinely thought I was so cool for doing this) and bought a severely overpriced Injen CAI and a Raceland strut tower bar. Right before I left for boot camp the passenger side window was smashed and my backpack with gym clothes and old school books was stolen. A two weeks later the car was egg'ed with 3 dozen eggs and two gallons of milk were poured all over it. I dont have pictures of this unfortunately. I did find out early in the morning though so there was minimal paint damage but man it was a _____ to clean. Needless to say I slept outside next to the car until I left for bootcamp.
I left in June and the car sat in a garage until December, when I returned. My now fiance bought me some raceland coils for Christmas. I was pretty damn excited. Slammed it, perch rings removed. Then Lazy Rocket Vinyl hooked me up with some pretty sweet stickers.
So yeah, this is my humble addition to the modded-tC scene. Nothing too special really. I have a Tsudo exhaust, HIDs and some more stickers in the mail. If the USMC ever gives me my signing bonus, or pays me for that matter, I will probably get some new shoes for the car. I've also been thinking of getting some Sparco seats, and of course a lip kit, but who knows. As for the very near future, I'm gonna shave the antenna, paint the waterfall green and paint the rims. What color do you guys think? The paint job now is terrible and chipping like a mothertrucker. I'm thinking green... But who knows.
Sorry for the crappy pics, I dont live at home so I don't have access to my mom's D90 anymore
Installing my Racelands
Damn rears, didnt know about the locking nut.

geeting low is an addiction bro lol, I know it is for me, and prob half the SL population. But in my opinion- Coils > Struts/lowering springs, the ride might be bumpy but its worth it.

The nut I'm talking about is the one that connects the lower part of the coilover to the frame of the car. You can go at it from either the bolt side or the nut side and the nut has little prongs that lock into the metal whereas the bolt is where you're supposed to unscrew it from. We went through three 20mm sockets (all crap Chinese, it's what my fiancee dad had since I didn't have one). But yeah. The rears were just a pain overall. Then I decided to drop the perch rings after the install so instead of doing all that work I just dropped them. So they jingle when you hit bumps but that's when you just turn up the music lol.
