Default Headlight Removal

Hey people, was thinking of getting hella projectors in my headlights with xenon, any idea how to remove the headlight assemblies? Does it require removing the front bumper... if someone's done this please link me with pics, or some info. Thanks!

I don't get what you need to remove your entire headlight housing unless you were replacing it with projectors or something. If that's the case, I don't know.

But if you're simply wiring the Hella ballest, you really don't have anything to take out. Just pop the hood, look down all the way to the left or to the right, and you'll see the headlight to remove. Twist counterclock wise and pull out carefully. Take care of the wiring and you're all set.

He said in the first part of post that he was putting Hella projectors in with the Xenon bulbs. He would need to remove the housing though I am not sure how. Have not done that yet.

There was this site that I found on projection installs on this CRX. The site had lots of info. It was always down though.

If I remember, preheat the over to 300-350

Once preheated turn it off. Put a bakeing sheet down and a damp towel on the bakeing sheet.
MAKE SURE OVEN IS OFF!!!!!
Place the headlight in the over for about 8-10min. Of course keep an eye on the headlights.

Once time is up use a screw driver of something like that to pry the headlight cover/assembly apart.

If it doesnt come apart or you dont notice the glue doing anything. Put them back in for another 8-10min. Ive done this to my Silvia headlights, so it does work.

Thanks, nice pics too. And ^ thanks for the instructions on how to take the assemblies apart... Ive had that info for a while since its so popular, but I plan on sending my assemblies to HID Tech, where my friend got his xenon installed... excellent job done. And no! Im NOT getting Super blue xenon! haha, just stock kelvin with high quality projectors.
