almost bought an xrs when i was looking for a used tC. it was the one with the 1.8L celica engine and 6sp tranny...very tempting...overall style didnt fit me, and i heard that the car made LOTS of noise with the engine since it was intended for a milder one...i think the new xrs has the same engine as the tC...i think....and its 4dr...but its prolly a lil smaller too... it'd be a hard choice for me between a new xrs and a tc....i'd prolly still go with a tC b/c of all the lil things...

oh maybe check out insurance rates, and if they are in favor of your decision show her that.

haha yeah my friends at work joke about me having a girl car. i definitely see more girls driving them then guys. and yes they have high safety ratings and for 08 they made side curtain airbags standard.

 

1.)ive never heard any car be called a girl car more than the tc.
2.)its really safe, 7 standard airbags.
3.) fixed pricing so the dealer wont screw you over
4.)very reliable engine
5.) comes pretty loaded stock considering how cheap it is
6.)if she co-signs but you are put as the dependent on the account, you can get her insterest rate, and also build your credit at the same time

go to any dealership and theyll pretty much tell you all of that, if the salesman is any good your mom will leave convinced, thats their job...

lol id upload pics of my first car when i totaled it (tc) and you can see how messed up it was and i walked away w/o a scratch on me. i felt so save in it i bought another

 

lol, more and more girls are driving the tc's. most of them are not modded, thats pretty much how the boys set themselves apart. get a white or cherry one. that way it wont be a "boy" color. our tc isnt the safest car in the world in fact i think in its class its one of the unsafest, i could be wrong though, but there is a ton of value and it can be easy on gas depending on how you drive.

 

o yea gotta add one more thing.
