Default High-G fuel starvation

Has anyone else noticed that with the tank low on gas the engine will cut out under high-g right-hand turns, or is my tank in sideways?

that's normal under a 1/4 tank, I remember on time taking an on ramp really fast cuz there was a car coming and halfway through the turn my car lost all power. It was still running, but it was going nowhere. Scary huh?

It would be worth noting that this is NOT good for your fuel pump either. Just FYI.

This is also why I make sure to have MORE THAN a half tank when going to autox. Not just a half tank - well over. It is common for me to fill up the day before no matter how far away it is.

Its not a "high G" turn because you'll be far away from pushing anything close to 1G in a performance situation let alone daily driving.

Basic thing that is happening is that the fuel is going away from the fuel pickup in the tank causing it to "starve".

"High" is a relative term, Mr. McHaggiz. As in the g load is higher going though the toe of the boot at the Glen where the engine cut out, rather than turning into a supermarket parking lot.

As stated above, I never auto-x without filling up the morning of. I had one event where it was ~1/2 tank and I had bad fuel starvation on a right-hand corner.

I'd be worried about fuel starvation and oil starvation >.<
