Default Hit a hole in the road last night in my tC

Only having the car for a week now, my car has suffered it's first injury. The hole caused a bend in the rim and a cut on the side on the tire.

Im guessing this doesnt cover warrenty, and is the dealership the only place with that type of tire in stock. Seems everywhere I call they dont carry the RE32 in it.

How big was the hole? Any way to take a pic? I'm just wondering if it was something bad you just flat didn't see, or if it's minor and the tC took it poorly.

I hit a small sinkhole in the asphault a few days ago. Nasty bump, but the diameter wasn't too huge (about 6 inches), and travelling at 50 mph, I don't think it sunk into the hole nearly enough to do any damage. I'm going ot double check when I go out to wash my car in a few minutes, but I doubt I'll find anything. I'm more worried about the damn shopping cart scratches I noticed a few days ago...

might want to try contacting the city. they're responsible for the damage if they've known about the pothole and have made no attempt to fill it.

well that sure sucks.......im sure u can grind that nasty scar off with a dremel and then try to polish it, but it will never be the same. forutnately its not very noticable. Does the tire still hold air?

Same problem here...hit a pothole the front wheel got damaged, but the rear one did not have any impact. I think it has something to do with the 60% weight distribution on the front

I have bought the warranty plan from my dealer for the wheels and tires! But doesnt the tire supposed to be under warranty as "Road Hazard" that type of thing?

I seriously doubt a good shop or the dealer is going to do that for you. The structural integrity of the wheel can be compromised causing cracking or other failure down the road. Once one is bent like that, I would reccomend trashing it and replacing it.
