The loser with the canards got car of the month on ScionLife. How is that ricer I don't see Civics or Tegs with Canards!!! It is their car and let them do what they want. Don't buy a tC save them for everyone else. I don't see how the commercial made you laugh.

It's true that Civics owners are the main culprits, but I've seen everything from Tauruses to Neons and Vans (yes, evem vans) being riced out. Apparently people think that 20" chrome looks good on EVERYTHING. I just laugh inside and drive on.

Doing some research, I found this definition:

"Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements. (R.I.C.E.)Parts put on cars to make them look fast, when they have no internal tuning, and are actually slow as hell. Parts usually consist of excessivley angular bodykits, large rear spoilers, neon, sponsor stickers, chrome rims, fake "coffee can" exhaust tips, and loud, annoying paint jobs and/or vynils. Sometimes parts are do-it-yourself installed and are basically duct taped to the car. Most commonly known for being done to Honda Civics, but can also be done to slow domestic vehicles, such as a Chevy Cavalier, etc."

I'm sorry to sound rude... but if you base which car you buy or whether you keep the one you have on what a few "ricers" have done to theirs you have a serious lack of personality and self confidence. Who really gives a damn what others have done to make thiers ugly in your eyes? That has no bearing on your car whatsoever. And anyone who looks at a tC and says "I have seen those riced out, so that guy must be a ricer", which is apparently what you are worried about, is a complete, spineless loser that probably stereotypes everythiing else in life as well. Be an adult and buy what you like because you like it, not because it fits in the right or wrong crowd.. that is just juvenile.

I dont like parts that are out of place, wings, big stickers and so on, but if that is what someone else likes then I could really care less. I love mine and take care to keep it looking like everything fits together well. Plus, I dont define myself off of an in-animate object.

Maybe go buy a minivan. Although many people still rice them too, they are few and far between. And you can rest assured that you will have a normal, car that fits in with the neighbors.

rice or not, stop hating, hating are for losers, some people like to make their car look good, some people like performance. You do what you like to your car, and people do what they like to their car, they spent money on their car so please... let them do wat they want

its all about claiming how cheap it is... but if you actually make your car the way it should be it is always way over.

Sure you can buy a kia sorento for 19500. bone freakin' stock. Once you put the options on (liike any car) it turns into a 30k car immediately.

I hate that about car advertising.... along with how they state crank hp #s then whp...
